Free Zoom Session for Michigan Caregivers on New Power of Attorney Act

Michigan caregivers can get insights into the state’s new Power of Attorney Act during a free Zoom session on January 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. Hosted by the Dorothy and Peter Brown Jewish Community Adult Day Program, the event will feature attorney Howard Collens from Collens Estate Law PLLC, discussing updated rights, responsibilities, and patient advocate designations.

This session, part of a broader 2025 caregiver support initiative funded by the Dee Dee and Michael Perlman Caregivers Fund, will include a Q&A segment. The program aims to empower family caregivers and professionals with education and resources. The Brown Program, based in Southfield and West Bloomfield, offers care and engagement for individuals with dementia, welcoming people of all faiths.
