Gesher Human Services Connects Students With Disabilities to Paid Summer Jobs
Disabled high school students and recent graduates who took part in Gesher Human Services’ summer internships celebrated the conclusion of a successful program with a pizza party on Aug. 24.
This year, 130 students from Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties got to experience paid summer internships working at a variety of jobs sites. Interns were supervised by job coaches to ensure good quality and productive work was being completed and that the students achieved the most they could get from the experience.
