Masterclass Program Helps Teachers in Search of New Professions

Oakland County, MI – With up to 10,000 teachers in Michigan leaving the profession annually and new research announced in April 2024 showing schools in Michigan could lose 5,100 teaching jobs in the next few years as federal pandemic aid ends, Michigan teachers ready for a career change can turn to a virtual career coaching program this summer.

MyCoach for Teachers is a masterclass group of four online sessions helping teachers explore how they can utilize their many skills in a new form of employment. The program runs from 10 a.m. to 11. 30 a.m. on July 9, 11, 16 and 18 and is offered by Gesher Human Services, one of the largest human service agencies in metro Detroit.
